Not that I’ve been that active lately anyway, but I’m definitely not going to be that active starting tomorrow. As most of y’all know, I’ve been staying with mi familia in Florida this past month and tomorrow I’m finally going back to Texas! It’s a two day drive so I won’t have Internet access most of tomorrow. And, even when we are in town, I think the hotel my dad and I are staying at requires you to pay for WIFI. Which sucks but whatevs. I’m gonna be super busy moving into my new place, anyway, and I have to get a bunch of stuff done on my car. And I also need to catch up with my boyfriend who I haven’t seen in an entire month. So I shall be a very busy gal! I just thought I should let you all know so you don’t think I fell off the face of the Earth agaaaain. I love you and I’ll miss you all! After all of this settles down I should finally be back for good.
“Heh…” he shrugged, slowly moving to a nearby bench and carefully taking a seat in it, his hands not moving from his painful side, “I don’t take painkillers. Addictive personality,” he stated lowly, trying to ignore the jabbing of his ribs, “But thanks for the concern, sweetheart. Means a lot. But, hey, this is what you get when people don’t fully believe that you’ve actually changed,” he sighed, putting on a sad face as he continued to portray his little act in front of her. “Just sit here with me and keep me occupied. Try and get my mind off it.”
The look on his face made her heart sink a bit. Little did she know that he was just feigning sadness in order to use all of this to his advantage. “Again, I’m really sorry. My dad’s just- It takes a lot more than words to win him over. If he ever were to forgive you, you’d have to prove it in a way that would make him believe so. He’s stubborn. And, if you think about it, I can’t blame him for being so cautious. Not that you deserved this at all! He just thinks he’s protecting the family.” She hesitated for a second before taking a seat next to him. “You can’t even take Advil?”
“I never said you were stupid. I just know that you’re close with your family. At least you used to be,” he shrugged. “I’m honestly surprised you’ve gotten this close to me, to tell ya the truth. It’s nice though,” he smiled down at her through the pain he was feeling throughout his entire body. Just another reason for him to continue trying to be nice to the girl. With her on his side, he could seek revenge on her father for absolutely everything he had done to him. “Anyway, no one can get rid of me that easily. Same goes for you, too,” he teased, reaching forward and poking her nose, the sudden motion making him wince out as a sharp stabbing sensation came from his side. “Ugh… Fuck…”
Letting out a bit of a shy laugh, Violet could feel her face reddening and she tried her hardest to hide behind her long hair. “Heh…” If it had’t been for his sudden admittance of pain, she would’ve probably just stood there, a bit dumbstruck. “Are you okay?” She started to frown again. “Well, obviously you aren’t okay… But can I do anything? Why don’t you lie down? I can help. I mean, if you need anything, I’ll get it for you. And it’d probably be wise of you to ice your ribs. Or just take copious amounts of Advil.”
