"I wasn’t running the entire weekend.  But it was soccer…or basketball?  I don’t remember.  Mom keeps the schedule because I’d just mix it all up in the end and show up to hockey practice in swimming trunks.  Hey!  What’s wrong with me having a girlfriend?  It’s pretty impossible though, with the whole double life thing.  Don’t want to lie to a girl about my super power, even if it’s lying by omission.  But that’s not the point!  What have you been up to, big sis?  When do you plan on stopping in again?"

“Now I can see why mom didn’t want you going out for sports. Don’t you think you’re overdoing it just a little bit? And it’s just gross. You having a girlfriend is like… To be honest there are no words, Dashiell. ‘”

She paused for a second, suddenly a bitter over the whole Tony incident which had blown up in her face not even a year prior.

“Lying definitely isn’t the route I’d recommend… I, um, I’ve been alright. Busy with school and work and stuff. Nothing too notable. I was thinking about coming over this weekend. Mom said something about Jack Jack having a game?”

"Hey!
I had a thing last weekend.
I think.
Probably.
It’s hard to keep up.
I think I was running.
And if I had known you were gonna be home,
I totally would have been there…
Probably.

“Oh a thing, huh? And a thing’s more important than seeing your ol’ big sister? I see how it is. I doubt you were running the entire time… Don’t tell me you’ve got a girlfriend now or something. Because I might just throw-up.”

"That’s the warm hello I get after not seeing you in ages?
Jeez
What an awful sister you are today.
Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something?”

“Oh, hush. I was just kidding- you big nerd. And it hasn’t been that long. If someone had been home last weekend, I would’ve seen you sooner.”
